When is redundancy paid

I know I can ask my company this, but I'm interested into what standard practice is.
If I get made redundant on the 5th of the month for example, is redundancy usually paid on the next normal pay day (e.g. 28th of month) or immediately on your last day of employment?

Next pay day for me

Mine was paid with my last months pay check iirc

Mine was paid either last day of employment or a few days before. I then got a final salary payment at the end of the month as i left mid month.

Last day of employment. Unless the company is in administration then it might mean you have to claim redundancy from the government which can be up to 3 weeks

Next pay day. I left end of October started my new job mid November and my redundancy payment landed on 20/11 whilst working my new job! I nearly quit!
