My friend and I (we met there) worked for Ski Miquel as chalet girls. Was much better than other traditional chalet girl jobs as we worked in a chalet hotel, which included a chef, bar man, 2 chalet girls and a manager. Whereas in other chalets it was just the chalet girl to do all the above.
we basically served breakfast, cleared away, cleaned the rooms and were out skiing by 10am. Back and changed to serve afternoon tea for 4pm, cleared up, had a break, served dinner, cleaned up and were out drinking/in bed sleeping depending on the mood by 10pm. Was brilliant. Best 6m of my life (15 years ago now like) I’ve holidayed with the company before I worked for them and after, brilliant holidays. All our travel, food, accom, ski and boots, ski pass included plus could eat what we wanted from the chalet. Though I generally got a free lunch if we met up with the group skiing. One day off a week. Changeover days were brutal though.
our jobs were the envy of the mountain I think.
the general/most common job is chalet girls/guy. Lots of companies who want you to cater in the chalet too require you to take a cookery course as well, I’m a dreadful cook so I specifically didn’t want my own chalet, much preferred working as part of a team.
snowheads forum is good for advice, or it was. TikTok is also good searching for seasonaire content.
my family came out and stayed in our chalet hotel over Christmas so I still got to see them for that period (discounted) and y boyfriend came out at a discounted rate part way through, as did my friends. I just met up with them when I wasn’t working!
