Forgot to mention pre booked holiday in recent interview.

Looking for some advice please. I was made redundant recently so am currently looking for and interviewing for a new job. I also have a holiday booked and paid for in September. Do I mention the holiday at application or interview stage or wait until a job offer? I am able to start a new job immediately so don’t have a notice period and my holiday is only 4 working days. Do you think a potential company would have an issue with me taking some holiday days so early in a new job? I recently had an interview and I brought up the topic of availability and had every intention of mentioning my pre booked holiday, but genuinely forgot during the discussion. (I had even practised what I was going to say) I haven’t been offered the job yet but am now worried that if I am offered the job it will looked like I lied about not mentioning a pre booked holiday.

Wait until job offer, unless you are asked before

Thanks. It never came up in interview. In fact I had to mention about my availability to start, which is possibly why I forgot as I was expecting to be asked.

4 days in a couple of months doesn't seem like a big deal. If you get offered the job you can let them know.

Yes just tell them when you get a job offer.

You accrue about 2 holiday days per month worked if full time.

I wouldn't worry about it, honestly.
