Hello, would anyone mind sharing their take home pay for a term time only contract working 22.5 hrs a week, NHS, top band 6. I’m attempting to work out whether I can afford to apply for a flexible working request. Or any help calculating what the pay would be?! Very specific request I know! Thanks.

It’s just maths.

assuming 5 years service (but less than 10)

£46580/37.5x22.5 =£27,948.00
£27948/52x39 =£20,961.00

plus 75% of 29+8 days for leave = 28 days (£5016)

= £25,977 gross
minus 9.8% pension

£23431

which listentotaxman says is £1700 take home per month.

Doesn’t take into account the term time only element.
