Start my own business

I'm wondering if it's possible to create a food product without spending a lot of money. If so, how would I go about it? I'm originally from East Asia, and I've got this idea to sell a new kind of low-calorie Asian pudding. I can't really go into the specifics, but my British husband and kids absolutely love it whenever I whip up a batch. It tastes so good, I honestly think it'd be a hit here in the UK. I've always worked for other companies, so I've never run my own business before. I'm just not sure where to start.

Could you start by making some and asking friends, neighbours to taste and get some options and then with any business have an idea of what you’d like to achieve? I.e selling to Waitrose vs setting up locally and selling online. You will have to tell people what the item is to get buy in and maybe think of a name of the business and go from there.

There is lots of support from Barclays you can set up business bank accounts, register the business name get a mentor and get started.

Sorry mean to say you will need to invest, health and safety, production, selling, branding, marketing.. doing it on no budget won’t get you very far.

There are loads of food businesses that have been on Dragons Den. Have a watch on catch up.
