Recovering from confidence knock

I had a horrid experience at work a couple
of years ago, which was essentially discrimination but left my confidence on the floor. I have an amazing new job which I am about to start but my confidence is still low and i am convinced i am going to be fired! I think I might be a bit traumatised still! I want to put my best foot forward and wondered if a work coach might help. Does anyone have any recommendations or have used a service like this before?

Your confidence will come back when you start your new job and are treated with respect. Fake confidence for the first few days/weeks until it comes back naturally. If it doesn't then maybe look for a mentor, but personally I think work coaches are about as useful as life coaches (or a chocolate teapot).

Agree with this. I'm 2.5 months into a new job after losing all confidence in my last one due to how I was treated. Feeling great and happy at work.
