Who's fault is it?

Doesn't make a difference now but here we go......I applied for a summer camp coaching job in my specific career subject back in February. Interviewed for the role and was offered the job in March. At the end of March I was sent a Google doc form to fill in my availability which I submitted. At the beginning of May another email was sent because they had received so many emails from people asking to change their availability. So in this email they asked for people who needed to change their dates to fill in the form again. I didn't need to change mine so I didn't fill it in again. At the end of May I received an email from HR with a link to the HR portal for receiveing all the necessary paperwork and links to training (26 documents/forms/training to be completed). Between now and then I've been emailing HR and the organiser who I interviewed with. Last comms was last week saying they would be in touch early this week assigning camps/dates etc. So today I emailed and the organiser replies with we haven't assigned anything because you didn't fill in the availability form in May and asked for my availability again (now 4th time, I had also told her in my interview and she wrote it down) - it now looks like there is nothing to assign to me. I've turned down other jobs to do this one which is frustrating.

That’s really frustrating for you.
From the wording of the email it looks like their fault to me but I would have worried and emailed asking if they needed me to confirm mine again. I accept that I may be in a minority in that though, but I am a big worrier.

Given that you've been in regular email contact with two of the staff, definitely their fault. Even if you misunderstood the email about giving availability, they should have let you know if they didn't have it before sending you training to complete. Sounds like it's their cock-up to be honest - they might have double-booked and are using this as an excuse to drop someone.
