part-timers, which working pattern do you find best?

Waiting to hear on the outcome of a part-time, remote role that I'm very keen on. Just had my final interview...

The role is for 2.5 days per week - which I'll be balancing with my other freelance work on the other 2.5 days. Personally I think it's best if I work consecutively on each 'side'.

Ideally, I would like to work for the new organisation on a Thursday as one of the days. Do you think Weds afternoon/Thursday/Friday would be acceptable to them? A little concerned that employers view Fridays as a bit of a 'non' day...thoughts?

You won't be able to predict what people will think, so you could just frame it when you ask. E.g. "In order to give you an unbroken chunk of my time and work more efficiently, I can offer you from Wednesday midday to Friday afternoon".
Otherwise, offer Tuesday midday to Thursday from the outset.

I would say whichever works for your workflow. I like Tues to Thurs when I worked 3 days, enjoying a long weekend every weekend.

Thanks both!

@EveryDayisFriday - I'm keen to try to avoid my freelance days being split either side of the weekend, otherwise the temptation could be to extend my weekend too much 😂 hopefully we can find a pattern that works for all!

Given that a lot of people have Friday as a NWD I would have thought your proposed days are ideal.
