Returning after cancer

Hi,
My mom has had leukemia for the last year. She's now in remission and can go back to work in October. Her manager has said they can't accommodate her old working days (Mon and Wed) as the 'company has moved on' (twat). Can he make her change her working days?

I think they’d have to make reasonable adjustments for her as she’ll now be classed as disabled I think as she’s had cancer. It would be worth having a chat to Acas.
