Would this put you off applying? They’ve basically left the job and so it would be their job I would be applying for
they’ve left a review that’s not good at all

No, it’s what you make of it. I read reviews often about places I go on holiday and shops or restaurants I use and people are always looking to complain. Maybe they were rubbish at their job and faced a disciplinary you don’t know it’s only their side. Multiple bad reviews I would possibly consider if worth applying but still good to suss somewhere out yourself. You can always say no if you get a bad vibe.

I wouldn't let it put you off applying.

we’ve let go 3 people in the last 2 years, I’m quite sure they wouldn’t leave my company a good review. I wouldn’t let it put you off.

How many people work at the company? How many reviews are there on Indeed? For example If there are 500 people at the company and 2 bad reviews, it wouldn’t bother me. If there are 500 people and 400 bad reviews it would!

only 17 reviews, the bad one is for the exact site and job I would be applying fkr
overall rating 3.5

I have looked at reviews of companies I know on Glassdoor. Those reviews frequently do not reflect my experience or the experience of employees I know. I have seen glowing reviews of companies that are awful employers, and terrible reviews of companies that are really good employers. Although reviews are anonymous, it was easy to identify the author of one bad review. Many of the claims made in that review were provably untrue.

Reviews can be helpful but, just as with reviews of products on Amazon, I wouldn't rely on them.

Is the job done my multiple people or just 1?

I think it would depend on what was in the review- but I wouldn't make my decision solely on that

I do think it’s often aggrieved former employees who leave reviews. The 5 star ones seem to be from people who still work there. I’d still give it a go tbh. I went to work somewhere that had lots of negative reviews but it was fine for me (in the short term).

Maybe 4 people on each site?
