What do you need to go between being offered and job and accepting it

For example, would ask for a copy of the terms and conditions and read through, would ask about employee benefits, anything else?

Yea you need the appointment letter and the contract. Read them properly, ask for any amends you want and then accept

I also work compressed hours in current role so wonder whether that’s the best time to make that ask, as once I’ve signed that’s it!

Did you raise this at interview?

If the compressed hours are a dealbreaker for you, you really should have raised this at interview. You need to ask ASAP.

So technically you have the right to request Flexible working from day 1... But they can also decline it so if compression hours is a deal breaker for you then yes negotiate before signing
