Any tips dealing with my boss who is incredibly disorganised, forgetful and chaotic? Apart from resigning! I’m finding it so stressful. Everything he gives me I cannot get on with because instructions are not clear, I can’t find the info etc, then there are last minute panics. Yesterday he got muddled on something and I wasted hours dealing with the wrong people. He is experienced in the role so that’s not the issue. He doesn’t keep his diary updated and sometimes I have no idea where he is. He doesn’t understand our systems.
He’s a lovely person and speaking to anyone more senior feels unthinkable but I can’t carry on like this. He’s very laid back and seems oblivious to it all. Obviously I’ve talked to him direct already and politely made suggestions but to no avail.
