Joining an union

I am considering joining an union. I work for a large corporate organisation and feel I am being discriminated. I don’t want to cause issues or damage company reputation but feel I need to protect myself in case the worse comes.

Will this be useful? How does this work? Will this impact reference and future job prospects?

I think unions always help. You’ll pay a monthly subscription fee and they will be available to help you navigate any grievances you may have with regards to discrimination. As for the company reputation, that’s up to the company to deal with, it’s not your responsibility
