OMP and resigning NHS

My maternity leave officially ends on the 19th August and I potentially am going to a different job (still within the NHS but a different trust.
I have to give 4 weeks notice. If I handed in my notice now would I still be entitled to my OMP until the 19th August or should I wait until 4 weeks before?
Not sure how that works if my new employer wants a reference as then my current job will know I am not returning!?

Ok so the running order needs to be :

1. Unconditional offer from new employer therefore reffences already checked
2. Give notice
3. Work notice I would suggest you take all holiday accrued during your maternity leave during your notice period

. Do not forgo your paid OML or your holiday entitlement.You new employer will just have to wait.
