Leaving midwifery - what next?

I have been a midwife in the NHS for 10 years - with 2 years of maternity leave - and I need to get out. Health reasons mainly but also the politics of it all. I’m currently part time.

I did direct entry in my early 20’s so previous job experience is quite limited.

What can I do to bring myself a semi-decent wage that fits in around 2 young children?

Can you look at other roles? There will be midwifery roles in education, strategy, improvement etc.

I left nursing to become a further education lecturer. Better paid different type of stress but the time off is great
