Hi

I had a interview on Tuesday afternoon and the Hr team asked me the mandatory question notice period, salary and told me a little more information about the start and finish hours and working from home benefits after the questions ended from the 2 other people on the panel.

they said I would hear by the end of the week after all interviews are finished. It’s now closed for the weekend and I didn’t hear anything. Can it sometimes take longer to receive the rejection email or possibly a positive outcome? I don’t want to follow up too quickly and seem pushy

Just follow up, it won't do any harm. If anything it'll show your keen. Sometimes it can take longer. My job they told me I'd hear on the Friday or Monday, I didn't hear on the Friday so spent all weekend thinking I didn't get it. Got the call on the Monday

I’m on interview panels. We often have plans to notify applicants and then we can’t get hold of the the right people to sign it off; or we can’t get feedback from the other people on the interview panel; or HR suddenly gets something else that is urgent and can’t send notification. Or it could be that you’re second choice and they’re waiting to hear back from the first person.

what I’m saying is that it could be any number of reasons.

no news is good news.

Thank you! You have reassured me as I have had a couple of interviews in the past and no rejection email or anything just completely ghosted but I don’t get the impression that this company will do that and I don’t want to seem pushy as I would really like to work for the company.
