Had a great interview… but now I’m panicking a bit!

I had a brilliant job interview this week for a role I found through a recruiter. Honestly, it felt more like a conversation than a formal interview — really natural and engaging. The person I spoke with even said she really enjoyed chatting with me and would be keen to bring me in for a second, in-person interview! I couldn’t believe it — she said that before the first interview had even finished, and I left the call feeling really positive.

Afterwards, I emailed the recruiter (as she’d asked me to update her), just to let her know how it went. But now it’s been a full day and I haven’t heard back. I know it’s not a huge amount of time, but because she’d asked me to check in, I was expecting a quick reply — and now I’m spiralling a bit 🙈
I really want this job and can’t stop thinking about how well the interview went. Am I overthinking? Has anyone else experienced this kind of post-interview limbo with a recruiter?

One day is nothing. You’re overthinking.
