My children are now 13 and 16 , I’ve been unhappy in my job for past 6 months due to issues with staff so I looked for a new job my previous job at McDonald’s have offered me a managers position back within the firm and promised promotion within the next year but the deputy head at the school I work with now came to me today and basically asked me not to leave accepted and apologised his not dealt with issues in the right way etc but I don’t know if it’s too little too late
The McDonald’s job is more money but more hours and shift work
the school job is perfect hours but doesn’t have more progression and hasn’t treated me well this year

any advice would be appreciated

I would be concerned with school job that only now it’s being said issues were dealt with appropriately. Why now - oh it’s because you could be leaving and they are worried!

Oh tricky - I suppose you could give current job another go, you may still be able to get an opportunity at McDonald’s down the line.
Ive heard McDonald’s are really good for career progression though so would give it some thought if you’re keen to develop.

Or look into other school jobs if you like the hours?
