Back to work feelings

How is everyone feeling about being back to work post mat leave?

I'm really struggling!! Feels very different second time around. I've been back 3 weeks and I know it will get better but I just don't have the brain capacity and feel q anxious about it. I think it will get better though?

I’m due back the first week of July after my second. I feel better about it this time because once I got over the initial few weeks with my first, I realised I needed the routine and regular adult interaction back. I went back 3 days too which was easier as I still have those two days.
I cried every time I thought about it in the weeks leading up to it last time and it took a few weeks to get her settled in nursery and the mum guilt to fade but then it was fine!
It does hit slightly different this time because we know it’s our last baby and I’ll never do it again so I’m savouring all the weekday moments while I can.
Might be saying the opposite come July but I don’t have the dread I did before so we’ll see!
