Return to work meeting.

Hi all,

So I have a return to work meeting and I am so anxious. I emailed to arrange the meeting and the vibe I got from the area manager was very off. She said she was going to arrange the meeting anyway and wants it with another one of the senior managers. I am actually going to hand my notice in and not return, as before I went on maternity leave my daughters dad passed away and someone from work has shared that with our clients. So I feel like the relationship and trust is broken. However I also feel like I probably didn’t have a job to go back to anyway.
how should I play it tomorrow?

Do you need to go to the meeting if you're resigning?

I wouldn't had my notice in until I'd been to the meeting. If you're just returning from maternity leave then you have a lot of protection. Don't deal all your cards at once and see what they say. If you don't care and you're leaving anyway then there's no harm hearing them out.

I do want to go to make them aware of the confidently breach and that I’m seeking legal advice. I’ve worked there ten years so I think it should be a face to face conversation. I’m also the manager so I feel like I should really.

Why don’t you have a job to go back to? If you want to go back, they have to have your job or an equivalent one available for you.
