Hi everyone, ive just been offered a trainee mortgage advisor role! I’m studying CeMap myself and hope to qualify in the next year. I have 8 years sales experience in financial services and am starting on a basic salary. My question is do any trainees earn commission on cases that get put through? Or not until you qualified? I’ll be doing the admin initially but want to know how quickly I can earn comission! Thanks

My husband is a mortgage adviser, the trainees at his place don’t earn any commission as before they are qualified all they really do is the admin- an actual adviser does the appointment, submits the application etc and so they get the commission.
