"Job-matching" during redundancy

I work at a university and our whole departments jobs have been "deleted" and we've been job matched to new jobs which we are ring-fenced for. There has been no assimilation into roles. The new roles are completely generic and don't really tell us what we will be doing. When we have asked how we have been ring-fenced to the jobs we've been told we've been skills matched.

On HRs FAQs to be ring-fenced for a role there should be at least 50% in common between the old and new jobs. I have asked to see the matching exercise that was carried out and have been told these will not be provided but I can compare the JD myself to see the similarities in the roles. Do we have any right to see how we have been matched to the new roles?
