Hi so 8 years ago I was in an abusive relationship where I was raped and abused for years I was also abused as a child and have a lot of trauma from this I left and made a report to the police. To help with this the police asked for my counciling records and I agreed. Within my counciling records I had told my councillor I was scared to be around my children due to thoughts I might hurt them as my husband had me. I wouldn’t have ever hurt them I just couldn’t deal with the daily thoughts and anxiety from this hense why I was having counciling. My councillor had no concerns and was helping me work through this. The police saw this in the records and reported to social services who came and did a visit and deemed me no risk at all and case closed. I’ve just had an advanced dbs check done for work and I’m scared this information would be on there as police made the referral. I work in childcare and have for 5 years. I’m absolutely fine now after years of counciling and no longer have these intrusive thoughts. Please I’m so worried this will show on my dbs! Can anyone help and tell me if this is likely please Thankyou.
