Does anyone work as a childminders assistant? I am looking at options which will work around DD. Does anyone has any advice about this job role? Thank you.

Does this actually exist?

Yes if course it does. What a strange question.

The weirder bit is OP posting the same question 8 times.

I thought childminders worked in their own homes with only a few children would they earn enough to pay for an assistant?

I’m a childminder and I work with 4 assistants (not all on the same days). Two of them work 9-3, 4 days a week and I pay £13 an hour. It works very well for them.

Childminders can have up to 3 assistants and each adult has their own ratio of children so they will be larger settings.

Childminders can even work from non domestic premises now, still under their CM registration. More than 4 adults takes you to a Childacare on domestic premises or non domestic premises, as appropriate.

(3 assistants at one time, to clarify the cross post)
