Career crossroads - which job?

Currently work for a small independent company - think beanbags on the floor, everyone using apple macs, no timesheets.

Lots of very fulfilling work, salary is ok but otherwise the terms are pretty poor. I’ve worked here for ten years and loved it, currently in a senior management position and can pretty much do as I like flexibility wise - but it’s been quiet lately and I’ve been a bit nervous. Also there’s not much further I can move in terms of promotion / progression.

Have been offered a job at a slightly lower level - non managerial - in a huge company. Salary is £4k lower, but terms are excellent - better pension, sick pay, etc, and much more security. Job satisfaction is likely to be very low, and a bit less flexible - however there could be much more scope to progress.

What would you do - stick or twist?

Why would you take 4k lower for less flexibility…. I wouldn’t. I see the benefits are marginally better. But I wouldn’t change.

do you have timesheets at the new place? If so - deffo don’t change!

Stick and keep looking.

Less money and less flexibility...... 100% stick.
I left a very flexible role for a much more structured one. If I could go back I would.
