I have an interview this week for a job that I would absolutely love, its an internal role. I haven't had an interview in about 6 years, is anyone able to offer some advice so I can hopefully secure the job please.

what do you know about the format of the interview/ type of question?

Research the role and be prepared to answer how you would improve/prioritise and anything else that may be relevant. Have questions to ask them, what are their expectations so you can tailor how you meet them. Do a SWOT analysis and use that to prepare your answers. Be presentable, one of the things I score interviewees on is their presentation and appearance. Listen to the questions carefully, too many people half listen and don’t answer properly. Try and find out as pp mentioned the format of the interview. Are they asking you to demonstrate your skills or will you have homework to do.
best of luck 🤞

If you are asked to say a bit about yourself, don’t talk about your family or hobbies etc unless directly relevant to the role. They really want to know about your work history and how this makes you an ideal candidate for the new role.
