A colleague has been messed around and their job was deleted. They got told they could
reapply for a new job on less money or other roles. They chose to take redundancy as they didn’t like the way it had been handled and most of their role has been given to someone who is off a lot with family problems.
I feel sad as a lot of decent people leave and this colleague was a nice person. The people who apply for jobs now seem to literally live round the corner from the office and are very cliquey as they have all grown up together for over 30 years. It’s isolating.
Some colleagues are concerned this person is leaving as they do a lot of work but the organisation seems to disregard this and won’t realise till they have gone. I just hate this ruthlessness and cliqueyness.
