NMC readmission

Dear Mums
I have just completed my test of competency for readmission onto the NMC register.
However, when I apply it asks for another nurses PIN for registrant reference. They should have known me for at least one year and have been in contact in the past 6 months. I have not worked alongside another nurse for years and do not know anyone that is on the register. Can anyone advise please?

Surely you need to ask the NMC about this directly. Don't you need to have a certain number of hours of recent practice as another condition, which would of necessity include contact with people who are on the register?

Looking at https://www.nmc.org.uk/registration/returning-to-the-register/return-test-of-competence/ it seems the referee is required for this route.

Could you do a 'return to practice' course instead? https://www.nmc.org.uk/registration/returning-to-the-register/return-course/

Hi OP, how did you get on? Im thinking of reregistering after coming off last year. Change of circumstances means I have to consider this. So all insight would be appreciated.
