Being contacted when off sick

My partner has been off sick from work for a few months due to a work injury. He is not getting paid.

A colleague has contacted him asking him lots of questions about work, why is he off and asked if he will take part in a psychology study for his course. My partner has said he can’t talk about work and refused to do the study.

What’s wrong with people. In the past at work we left people alone on sick because they needed to recover and not be pressured back to work when ill.

I can tell my partner was quite stressed as he is trying to recover from ill health and is now being probed by a colleague.

If he's off with a work injury surely he should be paid? If he's in a Trade Union he needs to follow it up.

He was off sick a while back but when he came back he did phased returned and then the other hours he couldn’t do they put them down as sick pay. I don’t know how he can be classified as sick if he still came in.
