Put all the information you have on the exercises into Chat GPT and see what it gives you back, it's really handy like that.

Admin test is likely to be an intray exercise or list of jobs that need doing and your task will be to prioritise them. Both don’t have a right answer but you should explain your reasoning. It shows what wider context you u understand. For example if the role is for a TCI clerk, phoning the consultant back might be the most important thing because it could be about arrangements or a problem today, patient could be calling to say they’re too sick to come in etc etc.
it could also be an excel or word doc test, spot the errors or interpretation of simple data.

whats the role? I could be more specific with advice

at band 4 I’d expect a question about the trust values and how you meet them/example of times when you’ve demonstrated them/how you would demonstrate them in this particular role.
other questions tend to be about: prioritisation, difficult conversation, time where you’ve worked as part of a team/to a deadline/common cause/overcome a challenge etc

The interview will consist of two tasks. You will be given 15 minutes to complete an administrative test. You will then be given 5 minutes to prepare your answer for the first question which you will receive on the day.

If you don't have ChatGTP you can use Gemini on Google. Type in NHS band 4 admin interview questions

Ihaveneedofwaternear · 10/04/2025 18:55

I just put NHS band 4 admin interview tasks in, and it came up with a good list of what they might be and what the interviewer is looking for

I will try that way but I'm not sure what the 15min Administrative test is?

Hello, have you completed this interview? Actually, I also got an invitation for the same kind of interview. Band 4 Senior Administrator in Diagnostic Medical Physics. Please share your experience.

RaininSummer · 11/04/2026 21:27

I had an excel task in a band 4 interview if that helps. Had to pull out some data and make a graph.

I can't remember much more than the excel task I'm afraid as it was five years ago.
