Accrued holiday

So I've handed my notice in on my mat leave and won't be returning - I know I should have waited. I'm entitled to take a year of mat leave so 52 weeks from when my mat leave started (this is what my payroll told me) my mat leave started in November last year so I emailed my boss my last working day would be in November of this year. Will I still be entitled to my full accrued AL as I'll still be on the books?

Yes. I would phone HR and talk through the options, they could move your last day or pay it as a lump sum.

You only get smp for 39 weeks so accrued leave could follow on.

In one place I worked you couldn't take annual leave within your notice period.
(I don't know about mat leave though)

Yes, and I wouldn’t leave early if they ask either, as you’ll stop accruing holiday pay. They’ll have to pay it as a lump sum after you leave.
