NHS new job

Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone has advice.

I've recently been offered a job working in the NHS, got given the conditional letter last month (March), all checks are completed and I've also been given the 'start date' letter where it said the learning and development team will contact me shortly to arrange a start date/induction, however that was last week. Does anyone know the wait to be contacted or should I make contact and ask?

Getting a little anxious as myself and the line manager agreed a start date in 2 months time but I plan to hand my notice into my current job in a couple of weeks (they require 4 weeks notice) and not heard nothing.

Thank you :)

NHS Recruiter here. Once your start date is booked you should be sent your contract and unconditional offer. We advise to wait until you receive your unconditional offer before handing in your notice with current employer.

Contact the Recruitment team of the Trust, explain you haven’t received your unconditional or contract.

I’d also mention that you’re agreed a start date with your new manager - managers don’t always pass this info on to us! Once the start date is booked, the induction info follows.

Finally, check your junk folder in case emails have gone there by accident.

all the best!
