Hi

A bit of background on me - I'm a mid forties married mum of 2 teenagers working full time in accounts that I have worked in all my working life. I have never progressed to anything other than accounts Assistant and I am feeling very stuck and motivated. I moved jobs last February due to circumstances beyond my control and I know I made the wrong decision at the time.

I have considered some sort of retraining or getting a job in retail but they tend to be small part time hours.

I really need some advice so I can stop this going round and round in my head!

You need the Mature Study and Retraining board for retraining inspiration.

But I wonder if you don’t actually need some dedicated professional careers guidance to help you re-route the skills you already have.
