Toxic boss ... resigning tomorrow

Just that really.

End of probation.
Pulled up on mistakes from month 1.
He wants to extend probation for another 3 months.
He's made me so anxious, self doubting. Killed my self esteem.
This PT job was a step up from my last place. I left that job due to stress of not being able to cope FT and with demands of home life (2 kids under 6).

Just need a hand hold and some of your experiences so I feel better in myself.

You won’t regret leaving but you’ll regret staying in a years time. Be brave and bold xx

Hand hold op 💐

Definitely leave, life is too short to waste it in a toxic workplace.

I've left a few jobs over the years due to muppets on a power trip.

Good luck OP. Seems like your boss will be surprised.

Well done for being brave 💐

What is it that he's doing that is toxic exactly?

I'm sorry that it has knocked your confidence and that you're feeling so stressed about it all, but on the face of it, picking you up on mistakes and extending your probation is what I would expect a manager to do if a new starter was failing to meet expectations. Is there more to it than this?

If you're struggling to do the job to the required standards, then resigning might be the best option for you and for your employer. I hope you find something else soon that suits you better.

I resigned in probation from my previous job. I did take some pleasure in only having to give a week's notice.

Good luck.
