What would you choose: term time only or part time year round?

Currently work 4x school hour days year round- so I’m there for the school run each day but need to use clubs in school holidays.

considering moving to full time (8.30-4.30) x 5 days but only 38 weeks a year giving me school holidays off, but needing before and after care x5 days. Can’t work out what will be a better balance for our family.

any views appreciated!

I'd stick with your existing 24ish hours per week so you don't need wraparound and then condense that into 2.5 days over the holidays. 2 long days e.g. 8-6pm plus a few hours on a third day or an evening to make up the hours.

Assuming you have a partner who can help get them to holiday club those two days. Then you would probably only need 2 days holiday club per week but get the term time benefits of being there at the end of the day.
