Help! Lunch break

I think I’m being really thick but can anyone clarify this for me? If a job advertised said

‘21 hours over 3 days (7.5 hour days to include a lunch break)’

would this mean 7.5 hours for the whole shift so for example 9-4.30pm OR would it meant 9-5 as you then have to ‘make up’ the 1/2 hour lunch break? I am thinking it’s the former but can anyone confirm?

I would imagine the former too, as it's 21 hours total. So 7 hours work plus 30 minute lunch break.

It would be the former - you are entitled to a break during the hours

Thank you @tiredottoman I didn’t think about it adding up to the 21 hours! Told you I was being thick! Thanks Grin

Thanks @Janlar there was just something in my head, either an old employer or someone I know where they ‘made up’ their lunch break. Maybe I imagined it! Thank you for the reply
