Private hire drivers

Has anyone got any experience in dealing with disciplinary action against private hire drivers from the council? I would be interested in hearing from anyone with experience to get an idea of what is to be expected.

Councils cannot take disciplinary action against private hire drivers - they don't employ them. If there is a complaint against them they will investigate. They may issue a warning or they can suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew a private hire driver's license. But their power relates to the licences they issue, not disciplinary action against a driver as such.
