HR Manager shared confidential info about me after I left - WWYD

Hi folks,
After some advice - I went to a wedding reception yesterday (a colleague from my previous job that I left last year got married)
Lots of ex-colleagues, lots of alcohol, was really fun.
An ex-colleague who I wasn't very close to but knew a bit mentioned during the evening that the HR manager told her something about me at work (it was a piece of personal information & was one of the reasons I left but not the only reason I left & only my manager & HR were aware of what it was as it was a sensitive piece of info)
I'm guessing that this ex-colleague may have shared with others too & I'm pretty pissed off.
I want to meet this person for coffee to just get clarity around what happened.
Would you share with the leadership team (who I'm still in touch with?) after this?
I really want to in case others are having their personal details discussed openly as well !

Yes, make a written complaint to management. Call
and discuss then follow up with email or straight to email. Put it in writing so they can’t just ignore it. HR definitely knows they should not be doing this.

I agree, and also - see if you can ascertain exactly what was said and to whom. This definitely warrants a formal complaint. Sorry this happened to you, OP.
