NHS band 2 admin interview task

Admin/receptionist role. There is a five minute task.

Any ideas as to what this is likely to be?

5 minutes isn't long. Maybe an intray task, ie prioritising a list of tasks in order of importance?

I can't tell you what this task will be, but I did write a test for my last organisation, though it was longer than 5 minutes.

What we did was provide an email that explained what we needed from them. The test was to check that the person could read and follow weekend instructions, prioritise as instructed, write a letter in decent English that was for to go to a member of the public and where we didn't have to rewrite it and then to check they could do (very basic) data analysis on excel.

They had about half an hour, and were totally permitted to use Google etc.

For a receptionist role they may also be interested in how you interact with others.

If it's a receptionist task, could be taking a phone call from a staff member pretending to be a patient and you summarising the contents of the call into a message for the doctor.
