AI notetakers - arghhh

Anyone else totally fed up with AI add-ons bloody everywhere? I can't be on a meeting now without an AI notetaker saving every word that is being said and sharing it with everyone.

I don't need this, I can make my own notes and it also feels like I am being policed.

Last week I was interviewing and the notes were being saved and shared with my manager afterwards. It made me feel so self conscious when candidates were asking me what I enjoyed/disliked about the role and company.

I think I am unreasonably enraged, I don't usually get irritated by much but this is really annoying! It's just the way it seems to have popped up in every application lately.

Turn it off?

Aihater · 27/02/2025 17:49

I can't unless I'm the one who's initiated the call, and even then I'll keep getting reminders that AI notetaker is trying to enter the room and that I need to accept it, sooo distracting!

You are legally entitled to decline consent to this. I would do this at the time the invite is sent and just ignore the pop up

Remind your business that allowing AI note taking means there is masses more data that will need to be searched for any subject access requests.

We use Co-Pilot in meetings and are very clear when it’s recording?

YouveGotAFastCar · 27/02/2025 17:58

Out of interest, did you tell the interviewees that they were being recorded?

SilverGlitterBaubles · 27/02/2025 20:52

Having everything recorded is intrusive.
