Asking for AL rather than a salary increase

I think we are fortunate enough to be expecting a small yearly salary increase, this is my first year with the company. Would it be reasonable to request extra annual leave rather than the extra money? I'm right on the tax bracket line.

Anyone have experiences having similar conversations and results? Thanks!

My husband previously has put his increases into his pension contributions. Think he had bought the maximum holiday days.

Thanks. I've bought the extra 5 holiday days we can too, don't want to seem like I'm taking the piss but I honestly don't think a few more days would impact the business, I'm not flat out.
