I was recently let go from my admin role as the company had no work coming in and couldn’t afford me. I was on a temp-to-perm contract so no notice or severance or anything.
I’ve got an interview for another admin role today but something about it is giving me major weird vibes. The MD texted me instead of calling or emailing to arrange the interview. The company name doesn’t match the one I applied for but upon googling it seems like they are one and the same or at least merging. On companies house some of the information doesn’t match and it also says there is an active proposal to strike off which DH says could mean they are late with their accounts but could mean they are in the process of dissolution. Also their website doesn’t work! Feel very nervous as a lone female going into what feels like it might be a scam.
I don’t really want to go but I need a job badly, we are about to remortgage. Don’t know what to do. I wish I were a man sometimes.
