Need advice about job offers

Heeey everyone!
New here but desperately need some advice or feedback please! I’ve recently accepted a job in nhs and done a few pre employment checks but still only several weeks into the process and have quite a lot forms to fill out. I’ve now been offered another job and it suits me and my 3 year old daughter much better. My concern is that both job offers come from the same trust just different departments so I assume it’ll be the same recruitment people…I do prefer the second job as it’s more flexible and I really liked the team but I’m not sure how to navigate the situation?
I also feel terrible for letting the other team down as I’ve already started the process and they were very nice to me throughout (
If anyone been in the same position or can just offer some advice- I’ll really appreciate it!!

If I had verbally accepted the offer of the first job I wouldn't back out. It's called integrity.
If you now retract your acceptance of the first job, don't then be upset if they retract the offer of the second job.

Take the job that suits you better. I worked in the NHS not HR though and this happened a lot. Candidates accepted offers and then withdrew- usually because it's such a long recruitement process and a better job came up for them in the meantime. I'm not entirely sure what you mean about HR. HR is usually centralised in a head office location so although it's the same trust you won't have anything to do with HR on a day to day basis.

Don't listen to this. It's not a lack of integrity to withdraw in good time from a job offer when a better suited one comes along. A lack of integrity would be stringing them along for a job you never wanted.

Thank you for your reply:) I’ve never worked in the nhs before so assumed there’s HR team situated in the actual hospital 😅
