Help me decide

I got offered a job yesterday which is nearer my home, more money and more hours .
The job I'm currently in is only 6 shifts a month and until some retires or leaves it's likely to stay that way. I get paid less but I really love my job . Only issue is I don't get enough pay to survive on and have to go into my overdraft every month .
There is no prospect of a pay rise (nurse)
I't really makes sense to take the new job, but I feel really apprehensive about handing my notice in as it's the 1st job I've fitted I. With for years

I think you have to take the pay, if it sends you into overdraft every month you're so vulnerable to price rises, and presumably have nothing for a rainy day...

Is the new job a similar role? As you're not earning enough to get by with your current job, I'd probably go for it. You might love it even more!

It sounds like it's a good idea to take it - it might be more hours (6 shifts a month sounds really low hours wise) but if it's meaning you're not in your overdraft and it pays you enough to survive then that would outweigh the shift up in hours to me.

You cannot keep going into your overdraft every month so take the new job. You might just end up loving it more. Don't let your fear hold you back.

Yes the same role
Just for a different company. I work in social care . It makes sense to go for new job . I had awful years of bullying by management and lost a lot of self confidence as a result . And I'm just worried it could happen again
