Should I leave my stupid manager?

Long story short, my manager is a complete David Brent. Awkward, mismanages every situation, takes credit for other people’s work and disappears for days on end (just doesn’t reply to any emails).

im on a temping contract. Originally due to end end of Feb, with a chance of extention. I have been asking since before Christmas but he hasn’t got back to me. Only today (3rd) has he told me they will extend a few more months but I am so done with being mismanaged that I want to stay fuck you and leave end of month.

this is couple with the fact he really stole a couple of my ideas while I was still trying to impress and show them I am worth keeping on. They are implementing my ideas and still letting me go! In March my big idea comes together so he wants me to stay for it to see me through - but I think if he thinks he’s so clever then surely he can do it without me!

not having a job in March is a concern.

thanks for reside.

Oh life’s to short. If you can afford to - leave them to it

At least go and talk to your temping agency. They may have something better for you. Life is short and your mental health is important.

Sounds like you are dangling on a thread anyway.

Line something else up and leave.

If you need the money stay & suck it up.

If credit is important to you, I would also email him & the level above him and say that you’re delighted your idea was listened to and actioned. Something along the line of it being rare a temp staff’s idea is rarely appreciated yadda yadda
