Health and wellness coaching

I'm looking into training as a health and wellness coach and I'm interested to hear other people's experiences of training, working and being coached. It looks really interesting and a very good fit for my previous experience - but this can't be a hobby/vanity investment. I do need to make a go of this work-wise and at least achieve a fairly steady PT income (that I can supplement with other PT income). I suspect this is a pretty crowded space - just wondering what the reality is.

I think it's something you need to start as a 'side hustle' first. From what I know, most of the successful ones start on social media and a mix of luck, being relatable and offering free quality content then gains you followers, some of whom will end up your customers.

My gym used to host some regularly and they all had fairly solid online followings AND other jobs to help pay the bills. I met a few through work offering their services to workspaces etc and it was clear the ones who were trying to find clients in more conventional ways were struggling.

I considered using one myself but ultimately felt the quality of content I could find online was good enough. This is what you'll be fighting against the most I think - all the information is out there and freely available if you know where to look.

Yes I think the way to go will be finding a particular niche. At least - I hope so. I'm not a big social media person - that is going to be a challenge.
