What would you do?

Been in current role a few years, very easy going non stressful managerial position (came from a very stressful role before but this one is more pay) A big announcement within the company has sent a few waves and people have started to look around. I went for an interview for a long term contract thinking it’d be good for experience and didn’t actually expect to get it, but I have! And it’s a £12k payrise, what would you do? Sit out your easy current role that isn’t badly paid or take a contract for more pay but obviously without this coming across the wrong way, a lot more stress/things to learn/not the full security of it being perm

Well surely it depends on ‘the big announcement that sent a few waves’ ? Are you confident that your job is in jeopardy in the immediate future, is it rumours? What do you mean by ‘sit out’ your current role - do you have a timeframe?
