I’m a primary teacher and due to cuts to funding won’t have a job come September. There are no jobs in my area due to cuts. I have a 2 year old.
I have no savings. My bills are £1500 a month.
I’m so stressed and don’t know what to do.
Is childminding profitible? There is a demand in my area. What else could I do for work? Has to be 9-5 and not weekends because I have no one to look after my child😔

I am a qualified teacher (post 16) and I was a cm. Because of my educational experience ( and constant ofsted outstandings) I attracted teacher parents.
I made good money and only worked term time. To make sure I had a steady income, my parents paid the same every month over the whole year.

You'd have difficulties only working 9-5

Your local authority will more than likely be crying out for SEN officers/caseworkers. Pretty good jobs in terms of hours, pay, holidays etc and your qualifications and experience would be a good fit.
