I have received my appraisal comments and they appear to be have been written by Ai, should I raise this, investigate further or leave it be?

If you honestly think it’s been written using ChatGPT this is something I would query with HR.

Can you tell whether it's a generic "write an appraisal" for someone, or whether they plugged in some specifics about you (strengths, achievements, training needs) and then asked AI to make it into a nicely worded appraisal? I'm not thrilled about AI but wouldn't be too bothered about the latter. If my manager clearly made no effort, that would annoy me and I'd raise it.

Agree - there's a difference between saying 'write me an email that says x, y and z' and then tweaking it, versus write a reply to this and cutting and pasting. Saying that, an appraisal is quite a personal doc so I can see why you may feel a bit miffed.

Mmm not sure. I use it when appraising my staff ie for someone who needs to improve time management I might have asked what a positive way to ask someone to improve their time management? Or what are tactful ways of asking someone to have a better attention to detail .
Not sure there is anything wrong with that?
