Training course

I went on some training and people are encouraged to put forward ideas. I shared an idea a colleague did with their work which had been effective. The facilitator threw it back in my face saying this was not a good method and did this again later on and someone else had a dig too. I thought it was unprofessional of them to behave this way and felt targeted.

There was nothing wrong with the suggestion. I don’t feel comfortable speaking out again in training if things are going to be thrown back in my face. How do you not take rudeness personally? It has got me down as all I was doing was contributing and not upstaging anyone.

I noticed later on in the session people were not contributing as much as this incident may have been a factor.

Well I'm the type of person who would bite back to be honest 🤷‍♀️ So maybe not the best approach, but I get my point across 😆
